Edmonton Wedding Photographer {The Roughley Family is Expecting}

To say I love this family would be an understatement.

This girl has been by my side through so many things. We have lived cities apart and just grew closer.

And to think, we met over the sale of a camera bag.

I am so incredibly thankful for Shauna and our friendship. She is exactly what I need in my life.

She is “my person” as Meredith would say to Cristina.

She is so kind and funny. Her laugh lights up an entire room and sounds just like Rachel McAdams, who happens to be my favorite actress so clearly we are meant to be friends. (trust me, you can hear her laugh in these photos below).

But she also tells me like it is. She is real. She is light. She gets me.

We get each other.

Having our sons just a few months apart has been such a blessing. We counted down the months and days until we could sign them up for activities together and watch their friendship grow.

I love hearing Callum say Masons name when I pick him up from daycare. Or when I spend the day with them at their house and I make Callum laugh until we all can’t laugh anymore and barely breathe for that matter!

They say there are all types of family out there. Since my family is so far away, I am so glad that I have “my person” right here with me.

I remember the day Shauna told me she was pregnant with Callum. I had asked her and Gareth to model for me for a shoot I was planning. She warned me about a little bump that may appear. I was thrilled.

And then came the day she told me she was pregnant with Roughley #2. So exciting.

I have loved watching this family grow and be a part of it.

Just a few more weeks and Roughley #2 will be here and I cannot wait to see if it’s a he or she.

I love you guys!

Oh wait…about this session…sorry, got way side tracked.

Gareth and Shauna have a highschool kind of love. Ya know that one where they can’t keep a straight face for the life of you. Or where you try and look each other in the eyes and be all serious but really cannot keep it together.

This is them.

And man is it adorable.

I walked away from their session wanting more laughter in my life. Now that is a good impression to leave on someone.

I love you guys. Thank you for allowing me to shoot that growing bump of yours.

XO

Nicole
