I have been dying to share this wedding, hence why I got my butt on the computer and actually blogged again for once. I joined Peter and Arezoo in Mexico at the beginning of May. Their wedding celebration was held at the Grand Riviera Princess / Sunset. It was absolutely stunning. If you have ever been you will know this resort is absolutely huge. The minute we showed up I was overwhelmed with ideas on photo locations. It was just perfect.
The Dress
I had talked with Arezoo over the year about her day and was just getting more and more excited. I knew her bridesmaid dresses were a shade of mint and her guys were wearing bow ties. That was enough for me to be super super excited. Not to mention her dress…wait until you see her dress. I tend to get pretty close with my clients from the minute they book me. I love hearing about their details throughout the year and getting to know them on a personal level. Arezoo even included me in saying yes to the dress. She sure made me feel pretty special and included in their day.
Destination Weddings
Destination weddings are a little bit different than local weddings. They are usually hot and full of bright bright sun. Sandy feet and half naked bodies in the back ground. I often get told how luck I am to be able to work and travel for a living, and while yes that is true, I would completely and utterly say that destination weddings are by far way harder and way more work than local weddings. Yes, it is just the one day of work but it is a huge change in conditions for me. I come from Edmonton, Alberta where it snows for 8 months out of the year and rains for a few months after that. Haha okay, I am being dramatic but you know what I mean. Not to mention this was my first wedding of the season so I definitely got thrown back into it. I am so grateful these two chose to take me with them.
The Venue: Grand Riviera Princess
The day was perfect though. Not too hot and not too much sun. We managed to sneak some fabulous beach shots in between clouds and because the resort was so stunning we used that to our advantage. It even came with an ice cream shop that matched their wedding colours. How perfect is that?!
Everything from the girls dresses to the babies breath bouquets. It was all well thought out and just perfect.
