Peter and Arezoo were married at the Grand Riviera Princess in Mexico last April. It was a stunning magical, light filled wedding. You can see more of that HERE
When couples choose to take me to their beautiful wedding locations I make sure they have a fabulous experience with me. I take everything in and try and spend time with them, they did fly me across the country after all. Rock the dress, dress the dress, love the dress…whatever you want to call it, is an absolute must in my opinion. NO, this does not mean that you actually have to “trash” your dress. It really just allows for more time and more photos. It lets you relax and enjoy being married. No time restrictions. The best light. And just the two of you being intimate and together.
We set out one evening for their session. The light was yummy…BUT…I always forget that depending where you go, changes were the sun will set. And it happens that no matter where I have traveled, the sun always sets behind the resort, not on the beach. Which of course is a big huge bummer. But we walked and we chased the light like I always do. We stopped and snuggled, kissed and make some memories.
When we finally made our way to the beach (this resort is HUGE) the light was dropping so incredibly fast. And, yes I know this it’s one of the main tips I tell photographers when they ask me for advice on Destination Weddings, but this was insane fast. We literally shot in the dark. I have no ideas what my settings were at but the shutter was slowing down and it was just no longer allowing me to shoot. Did we have enough…Ya I would say so. But I knew there were certain shots and feels Arezoo wanted from this session. So we agreed to meet again the next night for just a couple more. The amount of photos this couple received was insane, but look at them, they are gorgeous!! And I actually really ended up loving the dark photos. It literally showed the moon. It was beautiful.
The next night when we set out, it was beautiful quick and intimate. I’m glad we tried again.
Thank you so much, I am so happy you guys chose me!
