Desiree and Daniel, one couple that I will never forget meeting. I remember when Desiree emailed me about her big day. I was already at my cut off for the year and had closed all dates left for bookings. Something about Desiree intrigued me. So we met up. As soon as I saw Desiree all I could see was how beautiful her smile was, but there was something else there….hesitation.

So we got chatting about her day and about what she wants from a photographer. Desiree and Daniel were convinced they would be terrible in front of the camera and would need a lot of direction. As a photographer hearing this, is normal. So I a wasn’t concerned at all. I kept telling them that if they decided to go with me they would seriously just have to trust me. I honestly do not know how many times I said that, that day. Desiree mentioned that as long as I don’t do the old school pitch fork photo that they would be fine. We laughed and joked about this a lot.

So they booked me, and I was thrilled. I just know Desiree will be a stunning bride and well Daniel…he is going to be insanely handsome.

We headed out for their engagement photos in June to Pigeon Lake, which is also where their wedding is going to take place. I always pick the locations for all of my sessions so going somewhere I had no idea about had my nerves on edge. As soon as we pulled into the area I was in awe. It is ridiculously beautiful out there. They took us around the area and I swear I could have stopped everywhere and shot my little heart out. But we narrowed it down to a few places and it was just perfect. The light was soft, the sky was blue and the couple was in love.

It was Just Perfect!

Daniel and Desiree, I seriously cannot wait for your wedding in August.
