Minimalist Natural White Studio are all the words that came to mind when I thought of the portraits I wanted to take of the girls to celebrate them turning one. I love the thought of capturing kids in their true element. White and clean with minimal props and a focus directly on their little personalities.
One of my goals was to show who the girls are through photos. I had hopes that Madison would play with her little piggies and that Makayla would share how just incredibly sweet she was. So to be honest…they did everything I had hoped for. But I did not get one photo I truly wanted.
You see my twins aren’t twins at all. They are so incredibly different in every aspect of the word. They are 3 pounds and 3 inches different. One has curly brown-reddish hair and the other has straight blonde hair. One has hazel eyes and the other has blue. One is outgoing and strong and the other is soft and gentle. They are the complete opposite and I adore it. So I wanted to bottle that up forever and just have one picture to look back on that truly represents that. And I got it…but not after a second day reshoot. I managed to get the perfect shot of Makayla. I sat and stared at it all night and just could not settle for not having one of Madison. So we re-shot the next day and Madison was happy as could be and we got it. These photos mean so much to me. It was a lot of work but anything you work for is always worth it
Hope you enjoy part two of the girls birthday celebrations.
