This romantic outdoor wedding will be a day I never forget. It was an amazing day filled with love, details and can you say blush dress!! It was also one of the hottest days of the summer. I remember checking my phone before the outdoor ceremony and it said +37 (felt like +40). Oh and did I mention that Alberta was surrounded by a haze of smoke from all the surrounding forest fires? It was an insane day. Thankfully the smoke lifted in the morning and cleared up but man was it hot. Kudos to the guys in suits and the girl in the big blush dress, you were all troopers.
Sondra is bombshell. I am talking blonde, stunning, knock out bombshell. I may be a bit biased as I have this weird obsession with blonde brides but seriously she is stunning. Sondra is that girl that planned her wedding from the day she turned six. She knew the dress, the details, the location, and the feeling. She knew exactly what she wanted and was very determined to make it happen. All she needed was her prefect groom and Jordan is definitely that. Jordan can make Sondra smile in a blink of an eye. Jordan is a funny guy. He brightens up the room when he enters and oh that smile, he is just a charmer. They are a perfect fit for one another.
I adored everything about this wedding but the biggest thing for me was how intimate it was. There were roughly 60 people there and their reception was help in Jordan and Sondra’s very beautiful backyard. It doesn’t get much more personal than that. Oh…and can everyone please have outdoor receptions. Holy cow was it ever beautiful to spend the evening outside.
There are a few things from this day that I will always remember. As I watched Sondra say her speech at the reception she held it all together so well but just could not make it through without breaking into tears. I absolutely love criers haha. What can I say, I just do.
Oh and then there was the speeches. Jordan and Sondra had THE best thank you speech I have ever heard. They put it all into a little rhyme and it was adorable.
And then there was Sondra shedding a tear during the reception. I asked her what was wrong. And all she could get out was that she was just so happy with how perfect everything turned out to be.
Thank you two so much for having me be a part of your day. It truly was so magical. I wish you so much luck and love in the future.
Big thanks to my second shooter Danielle with Danielle Lucier Photography
