Capturing my child as he grows and learns about this world has been a huge priority of mine. I am so thankful that I am a photographer and can create these life long memories for him, even if really they are more for me.
Let me introduce you to little Miss Kinley. She is the daughter of our dayhome provider, Katrina. And what makes it even cooler is that I met Katrina at a wedding I photographed years ago. She was a bridesmaid. I truly believe some paths are just meant to cross. She has been such a huge help to our family and we absolutely love her.
Anyway, back to Kinley. She is a doll, trust me you will agree once you see how tiny and adorable she is. Mason and Kinley have the most unreal bond. It is like a brotherly sister thing but also a boyfriend girlfriend thing. Kinley asks for Mason every morning when she wakes up and Mason protects her against the world (or in their case, other dayhome kids). It is unreal to watch. Even when we were setting everything up for this shoot Mason was holding Kinley’s hand and he took it and gave her a little kiss on it. He has a huge heart to everyone but it’s extra warm for her.
As I watched these two grow closer and closer I knew I had to have photos of them together and their undeniable bond. Katrina, being the person she is absolutely loves photos and is wonderful at planning, was right on board. We had a vision and made it happen, storm clouds and all. The shoot took forever because lets face it, they are 2 and 3 years old. I took a ton of photos. We made memories and I will treasure these photos forever.
(there is a ton because let’s face it I just could not narrow it down)
