Chris and Sarah are the epitome of love. The way he looks at her and the way her smile just lights him up. I absolutely admire them and all they represent.
Their Edmonton wedding was absolutely stunning from the minute they started getting ready to their reception at the Oasis Centre. There was not a single detail missed.
Sarah pictured a fall day for her wedding…yet she doesn’t like the colors fall bring which is where her beautiful Fabloomosity bouquet comes in. Even though it was the end of September, Sarah still wanted those beautiful pinks in her bouquet. Of course Fabloomosity did not disappoint. Ladies if you haven’t check them out, please do they are amazing!
When I walked in to the girls getting ready at Sarah’s Mothers house I just knew it was going to be a good day. The sun was shining, the house was beautiful and offered fabulous natural light and Sarah was…well Sarah. She was quiet and calm and poised. She was transforming into a bride on her big day. Sarah put together beautiful matching robes for her girls to wear while they got ready. I just love this idea. It makes all of your getting ready photos so much more put together. Sarah also did a dress reveal to her bridesmaids as they hadn’t seen it yet, again give me anything person and special and I’m excited. Watching Sarah change from her Bride rope to her wedding dress was amazing. She literally transformed into a bride. Glowing and beaming from ear to ear. She was just stunning.
Almost all of my weddings this year had rain, even just a tiny bit. This one was no different. As we shot outside St.Joseph Basilica after their ceremony it started to rain. I mean the sky went dark and started to rain. So we got everyone in the limo and headed to Fort Edmonton Park in hopes that it would clear up.
It did.
It was one of the most beautiful days we had. It was sunny and warm and the leaves were in full bloom (is that what you call it when it’s fall…bloom??!1) Anyway, it was beautiful. Sarah had her heart set on Fort Edmonton Park. She wanted the rustic romantic feel of the fort. No need for the fort to make that happen, Sarah and Chris have an amazing connection together. We took a ton of photos and literally had the most amazing light. Shawn and I both really did not want to stop shooting.
And then there was their reception.
WOW!
No words for how all of these vendors came together to make this as amazing as it was. My jaw literally dropped when I saw everything come together. Sarah wanted a romantic wedding. She loved the colours black and white but she knew she wanted a lot of romance in her details. You should have seen her face when she saw everything. I think all of her dreams came true in that moment.
Sarah and Chris, you will forever be in my heart. Thank you so much for including us in such a special day. Wishing you a future filled with love.
