I’ve seriously never felt this pretty in my life
This is the best day ever
True words from a bride on her perfect day
I will never forget the day Brittany inquired with me about their Valemount wedding. She described every element of it and why the location was so important to them. It sounded like a dream to me. I tend to shoot two types of weddings. Formal. Glamorous and traditional. Or outdoors. Tented and personal. I absolutely love this about my job. Brittany and Kyle were planning the most personal and special wedding ever and I knew I had to be there.
So after they booked Brittney and I became instant friends. I mean talking every day. Talking about the wedding. About kids. Anything and everything. Our paths were definitely meant to cross. That was confirmed at their engagement session. We had the best time exploring Valemount and getting eaten alive by giant mosquitoes. We seem to make memories every time we’re together.
Their wedding was no different.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to chat much leading right up to their day so I was going in a little blind on a few things. Like how the side by sides were working and when the helicopter was leaving or how about the horse and carriage. Yup. They had it all and it all carried personal elements to it.
The day was amazing from start to finish. The girls looked fabulous the minute I walked in and the guys….well that story just isn’t appropriate for the public hahah.
We headed down to the ceremony which was surrounded by stunning mountains and tall evergreens. The guys got flown in by a helicopter and then drove the ladies down in side by sides. Brittany arrived with class on a stunning horse and carriage. It was all such a dream for these two.
After the ceremony a helicopter picked the 4 of us up and we headed to the top of a mountain. Yes. You heard that right. It was unreal. The views from there and watching Kyle and Brittnany smile ear to ear was amazing. Actually I think Brittney and I were the most excited out of everyone. There was even some hand holding and squealing going on between us.
The light. The wind. The clouds. The colors. It was like we were in heaven. I could’ve spent hours up there just breathing the air in and capturing the love these two have for each other. It was such a special moment and one I know they’ll never forget. Especially almost losing Brittany’s veil as the wind decided to take it.
We arrived back in the ground in style jumping off the helicopter as the blades still ran and the wind blew our hair. Again…what an experience.
We finished up with the formal photos which was a task on its own. Thanks guys for making me work for my money hahah. And to the ladies you were all so wonderful to work with. You truly made me feel at home and like I was part of your amazing little group. Xo
The reception was just as fabulous. A huge tent decorated with rustic elements everywhere. So many people helped make everything and worked together to make this happen. It warmed my heart so much to see how many people came together and put their personal touch on everything. I knew as the day went on this was exactly what Brittany pictured. It was her perfect day.
Brittanhy and Kyle I cannot thank you enough for choosing us. You gave us an opportunity to have great memories and make wonderful friends along the way. I adore you and will never forget this day. We wish you so much love in the future, although I know our time together doesn’t end here.
