Cary and J’Dee were married on such a beautiful spring day in Medicine Hat. Their ceremony was at the stunning St.Patricks Church and their reception was held at the Medicine Hat Lodge. Stunning doesn’t even begin to describe this wedding.

I was reminded why I do what I do with this wedding. There were so many moments throughout the day that I had to pull myself together and regroup. I bawled my face off during J’Dee’s Dad seeing her in her dress for the first time. He said to her, “you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!” The whole room was in tears. And then, the look on Carey’s face when he watched J’Dee walk down the aisle, while J’Dee held back the tears, was amazing. It was as though nobody else was in the room. And then Roen joined us for some formal photos. The way he rested his chubby little cheeks on his Mommy’s shoulder and just cuddled right in made my heart swell. Don’t even get me started on the reception. The father daughter dance was the best I have ever seen. It was as though J’Dee went from a stunning grown women back into a 7 year old girl dancing with her Dad. She played with her dress, swirled and twirled while her Dad watched in such delight. You could see how utterly proud he was of her. And THEN…when her Dad surprised her by signing her a song. BAH! Seriously, this wedding was so special to me. This whole family is.

I met J’Dee through a group of friends in Medicine Hat and man do I feel lucky that our paths crossed. I have had the opportunity to photograph Roen when he was just a rolly 6 month old boy, their family photos, Roens 1 year photos, and their engagement photos. Needless to say we have spent so much time together and I couldn’t be happier. I looked forward to this wedding for months. I could not wait to see the stunning J’Dee as a bride. I mean look at her, she is a Marilyn Monroe to the T! Once you see her dress you will know exactly what I am talking about. And Cary, well he is just so handsome and the way he looks at J’Dee just pulls at the heart strings.

Seriously you two, thank you from my entire heart for allowing me into your lives. I have had the most memorable time being a part of your family. I have so many wishes for you and your bright future.

I love you guys!

Let the tears flow!Have I mentioned that J’Dee considers herself very emotional. That’s my kind of bride! When going through the photos I just about deleted this photo until I looked harder and so how in love with this moment Cary wasYup…HILARIOUS! When we tried to do the list of family photos after the Ceremony little Roen was just exhausted and was having none of it. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about the lack of photos with him. When he joined us for Formal photos I knew this was it, my last chance to get some great ones of him on his Mommy and Daddy’s special day. Well a nap and some food did him wonders and he sure missed his Mom. He ran right to her, rested his head on her shoulder and snuggled in. He stole the show. I could have shot this set all day. We were running out of time so I asked my husband if he could take some of J’Dee while I shot Cary. Her Dad was still there with Roen and asked if he could have some with him too. Seriously this was the most proud and loving Father I have ever seen…EVER! You’re adorable J’Dee. And I love the way Cary looks at you. With so much love but also that he knows how ridiculous and cute you are!

Maybe it is because I am a Mom and know how precious those squishy little fingers are but man do I love this one.FAVORITE PHOTO EVER!!
