And now their big day. All of which were shot on their soon to be home, their land.
I was so proud to be a part of this day. Courtney is great, and someone I can definitely call a friend now. Like a lot of my clients, I talk to them very often. Courtney and I hit it off right away. I was so happy to be part of all of her big moments. And Darrell, well he tolerates me. I make him lay in a home made tent, and then again in thigh high grass on their wedding day. He puts up with me, but I think he would agree that is has all been worth it.
Their wedding was stunning. I actually think it might have been my all time favourite of 2012.
The ceremony was a beautiful tent set up on their land with all of their family and friends. Now with it being so gorgeous, it also brought some challenges. The lighting was very tricky. It was completely back-lit with a bright reflective floor. It put us to the challenge, yet again. Thank goodness I have amazing couples who book 2 photographers. This is definitely one that we couldn’t have done without each other. One of us would have amazing soft-box light and the other was very shadowed. Together we always make it work.
Lots of laughs. Lots of tears. An all around great day.
A huge thank you to Darrell and Courtney for having us there for all of your moments. I am so proud to have been there for it.I cannot wait until the babies come.
