Prince Charming

That is all that comes to mind when I think of this couple.

J’Dee is quirky and absolutely adorable. She has the best nose scrunch laugh and the most beautiful smile ever. She is light and airy and just awesome to be around.

Carey is quiet and charming. He would move mountains for J’Dee and you can see it. He is handsome and inspired.

Together, they can do anything.

This is hands down one of my favorite engagements sessions. Okay, I totally say that about every shoot I do but seriously every single couple I meet inspires me and touches me in one way or another.

This couple came into my life by a random fluke and the rest just fell into place.

I had just started out shooting kids (that will never sound O.K.) and advertised on Facebook for a 6 month old. Well in the small town of Medicine Hat, everybody knows everybody and I had touched a close group of friends. That’s how J’Dee found me and she volunteered Roen for the shoot.

They came over and we had an adorable session for little Roe. While singing songs and making this little guy try to smile it came up in conversation that J’Dee and Carey were planning their wedding. Well that is just music to my ears haha.

And from there we have spent way too many hours together HAHAHAH I had to throw that in there because these two will get a kick out of it.

6 months. Nursing Session. Family Session. Roen turns 1. And now their Engagement Session.

I was lucky enough to be there for all of it. Not to mention seeing them at weddings I was shooting in Medicine Hat.

We were just meant to be together.

This session was absolutely perfect. The couple. The light. The season.

There is just something about shooting in the fall that I absolutely adore. Maybe it is because I love warm photos but the colors are just amazing!

J’Dee and Carey, I have been counting down the days until your wedding! I cannot wait to see you two all dressed up surrounded by those you love!

I love sets like this. I just sit back and let couples do their thing! There it is…that beautiful scrunchy nose!!Because sometimes we have fun tooI think this is where I got a little inapproriate and started hitting on Carey and telling him how good he looked.
Good thing my clients know me well enough that it’s all in good fun, and makes for great photos! Oh the light, seriously we were so lucky this night, it was just beautiful! I have stared at this photo many times. J’Dee you are just such a natural beauty! And sometimes you just need to focus on that handsome soon to be groom!
