Extended Family Photos are so foreign to most families. I seriously have no idea why this is. If you look around most people don’t have professional photos of their kids once they are all grown up. In fact, I do not have my own extended family photos. It’s crazy I know.

So when Caylee contacted me to photographer hers I was very excited. But as Edmonton weather will have it, it threw us a big curve ball of freezing cold temperatures. There was no way we would have a successful shoot in that weather. But we had some luck on our side and had one warm-ish day. We were going for it, and it was fabulous.

We planned on going to a park near by with beautiful winter evergreens but as soon as I walked up to Caylee’s home I knew they had to be taken on her front porch. I mean, it was decorated all adorable and festive for the holidays. And they did such a good job coordinating everyone’s outfits. I was just meant to be.

I walked away from this session with a goal to make sure to take professional photos of my own extended family. Thank you for the push Caylee!
