Sunset Engagement Photos. What more could you ask for. This night was AMAZING.

Everything was there and everything was amazing. Did I mention how amazing this couple is yet? Because they are. Let me tell you our story.

Brendon and Alecia came over for their wedding consult. The minute they walked in my door I just knew we were meant to be. As Alecia looked through  my portfolio she mentioned how much she loved how I shot details and how those were images she would see herself putting on their walls. See what I mean…match made in heaven. We chatted for a long time about their day. They are just such a wonderful couple together. Even Brendon was in there asking quuestions ( I love when the groom gets involved).

And then their engagement session came. We planned on shooting in those beautiful blossoms that happen every year. But that did not work in our favor. They came and went so fast that we completely missed it. So we decided to stick with the same date and give it a go. Well I swear things were just working against us so we could shoot at a later date. The rain came as soon as they pulled up to the location (which I might add was never perfect. It was pretty and would have been wonderful but nothing like what we ended up shooting in). So we called it off and rescheduled.

When the day came to shoot their session again, it was looking pretty scary. The clouds were coming in, it was windy and the sky was getting dark. As we pulled it, it was like the heavens opened up. The sun was perfect, the clouds were romantic and the wind added some flare. Everything, I mean everything was absolutely beautiful.

I took one of my most favorite photos I have ever taken this night. I will never be able to top it (hahha okay let’s hope I can one day) but seriously, we were packing up and were ready to go and I literally made Brendon and Alecia run back so I could shoot one more shot. And that was it. My favorite. The best shot I had taken in a long time. I was a girl on Christmas morning. It was all so amazing and everything just lined up so perfectly.

I cannot wait for their wedding next September!
