I always had this vision of having a wedding photographers office space. A place I could bring my clients, and hopeful clients, to in the comfort of my own home. Somewhere I am in my element surrounded by the things I love and my work.
I mentioned back in October that I was transforming my “studio” into a client meeting space instead of shooting in it. Well, that is true to some degree but not totally. I no longer offer posed type sessions in my home. At the end of the day I just cannot connect with completely posed sessions. Backdrops and props. Things that are just not personal to me. I tried and I just cannot do it. I am finally at peace with that decision as it was a hard one for me. I want to be able to offer my clients my services at every part of their life’s journey. So I figured out how to do it my way while still having a beautiful space to sit with my clients. You can see more of those sessions HERE
So you can imagine how excited I was when I sold all of my props and drops and decided to go ahead with the design. I had a million ideas for this space. I am a HomeSense aholic (is that a thing???) I absolutely love anything decor and homes and gah everything in that area. A great date for me would be taking me to show homes. I literally love it. Everything about it gets me giddy and excited. I’m sure you can see the look on my husbands face…and our bank account.
Anyway…I started with a vision that I have been playing on for years. I knew the pallet had to match my brand. Golds. Pinks. Mints. And white. I love light and airy images as much as I do decor. I adore pastels with the chic addition of golds mixed in.
With that being said, because this space is in my home (our bonus room) I had to take other things into consideration. If I lost my job tomorrow and photography was no longer a part in my life, would this space be useless once I transformed it? And would my little monster of a toddler get into trouble in there or worse wreck important things like my hard drives. Not to mention toddlers (kids in general) tend to come with a lot of stuff. Like lots of random things that need a place. So as much as this huge place for storage is mainly to look pretty it is not only for my office items but also our family stuff too. That is why I made sure to choose glass doors and solid drawers.
Now as you scroll you will see this is not finished. But I was just so darn excited to share. Someone needs to teach me cord management too! Oh and I wish I was a Mac girl just because they are cuter than PC’s.
I hope you enjoy my mini tour. I can’t wait until it is finished so I can share it all with you but for now, have a peek!

(don’t judge the cords. I mentioned needing help in that area ha and I also wanted this to be a real post and leave things plugged in)
Oh man was I excited at these finds at HomeSense this week. I have had an idea what I wanted for my thank you cards for so long but I just could not find it. This push board was absolutely perfect. Not only was it mint but it was super light and soft and fit the space perfect.
And then I found this planning board. I am a HUGE planner. It is a fabulous and awful thing haha. But this board was super cute and matched my brand. Win Win.
Huge lover of notebooks over here. I could buy a million of them. And these ones from chapters were too cute to pass up.
And those adorable little tins on the side, those are wedding favors from Steph and Ryans wedding last year.
The magazines I have been published in have always been shoved away in a drawer somewhere. They are something I am extremely proud of and am excited to finally showcase them in my office. Same as my sample albums, tucked away somewhere. So happy to get them out for people to touch and hold. Goodies
