Where to even start with this couple. Well actually it starts way back in 2009. I worked with Sumira at TD. I was actually her boss. Now when two strong females get together in a work setting, that is never a good thing. Needless to say sometimes people just get along better when not in a work environment. Shortly after I started on my photography journey. Sumira has been there right from the beginning. We have done a couples session, boudoir, family, and engagement. It only made sense that I be part of their big day so I was honored when they asked me.
Now no life comes without bumps. Sumira and Mo can definitely attest to having a bumpy wedding planning journey. With a loved one getting sick, to trying to push up the wedding, to having that loved one pass away.
It was all heartbreaking.
I knew that no matter what I would do anything I could to be there for this couple. I am so thankful that in the end it all worked out and their day was beautiful.
Now the weather…not so much beautiful. Sumira had a few indoor locations picked out but with the time of day we faced a lot of challenges. So we fronted the winds and headed outside. I think the girls matched the colour purple in Sumira’s outfit, it was so cold. But they held out for me and we had a blast.
Sumira and Mo! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for including us in such a special time in your lives, heck a bunch of special times in your lives. We wish you so much happiness together. I hope you get as much joy looking at your photos as we did taking them. Oh, and thank you for teaching me about your traditions and lifestyle. I left this wedding with a heart full of joy.
