As most of you know, I recently packed my bags and headed to Shreveport, Louisiana where I attended my first photography workshop. This workshop had made appearances on my page for months before I took the plunge. I will admit, I normally do not follow a lot of photographers, there are just too many great ones to choose from, but Three Nails caught my eye. I love their style, processing and all around creativity. To top it off Hunter is one awesome guy. So when I found out a good photographer friend of mine was going I knew it was as hint to sign up (no matter what hesitations I might have had).
So I hit ENROL.
The trip down there was so exciting, even the part where they lost our bags. But that will come later with a very embarrassing video blog. The point of this blog is to tell you what I took away from the workshop, what I felt, and I what it taught me.

I went there thinking I was going to learn that being self taught I had taught myself a ton of bad habits. Nope.
In fact I helped many other photographers that were there which was a pretty awesome feeling. But the biggest, most impactful thing that I took away from the workshop was that I really need to start over.

Completely!

I need to go back to the beginning and remember what I love.

I love LOVE.
I love details.
I love themes.

I love excitement.

I get excited for every single thing that lands in front of my lens don’t get me wrong, but the excitement I am feeling now is something else. I literally cannot sleep. My husband thinks I am going nuts. But the truth is I was like this 3 years ago. I had 50 ideas lined up and had to do them all…so I did. That is exactly what I am doing now. I have a ton of things in the works, including rebranding. We have a lot ahead of us and I couldn’t be more ready for the challenge. I hope that you all will continue to follow us as we make changes, move and grow!

There is no day like today to make the change!

I am in the pursuit of my own happiness…and I’m not letting anything stand in my way!
